I specialize in capacity building initiatives with a focus on strategic personnel training and leadership development. I take a scientific approach to training, relying on research and best practices to enhance learning, skill acquisition, and progress toward organizational goals.
I have eight years of experience designing and implementing education and training programs for adult learners. I have five years of consulting experience developing leadership training programs. I have also taught leadership full-time for three years at a small university.
My personal research interests lie in these topic areas:
Resilience. What are its antecedents and outcomes? What interventions, activities, and lifestyles foster resilience?
Spirituality. How do people practice it? What impact does it have on resilience? What impact does it have on one's personal development?
Personal Growth. What motivates people to self-develop? In what ways do people attempt to grow? What are the contextual factors that enhance self-development?
I am an organizational psychologist. I earned my doctorate in Industrial and Organizational (I/O) psychology, which is psychology applied to the workplace, from George Mason University (GMU) in 2008.
